June 8 - PENTECOST SUNDAY -  1st reading  Acts 2:1-11; Psalm 104:1, 24, 29-31, 34; 2nd reading    1 Corinthians 12:3-7, 12-13 ;  Gospel  John 20:19-23   Today we commemorate the Birth of the Church when Jesus sent the Spirit [Acts 2:2-4] inspire Her [1 Cor 12:3]; the Spirit Who gives us life [Ps 104:30]  Note that we also celebrate today as the Patronal Feast of Holy Spirit Church  For more see web link 

June 15 - THE MOST HOLY TRINITY -  1st reading - Exodus 34:4-6, 8-9; Psalm - Daniel 3:52-56; 2nd  reading - 2 Corinthians 13:11-13; Gospel - John 3:16-18.  Blessed be the Lord, our God [Dan 3:52-56]; slow to anger and rich in kindness and faithfulness [Ex 34:6], Who offers us eternal life [Jn 3:16] as His people [2 Cor 13:11]  For more see web link

June 22 - THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST -  1st reading  -Deuteronomy 8:2-3, 14-16; Psalm -147:12-15;  2nd reading - 1 Corinthians 10:16-17; Gospel - John 6:51-58.  Jesus has given us eternal life through His Body and Blood [Jn 6:51,53; 1 Cor 10:16-17]; this is the gift of finest wheat [Ps 147:14] foreshadowed by the gifts of manna and water in the desert [Deut 8:15-16] For more see Corpus Christi and Precious Blood

 

June 27 - THE MOST SACRED HEART OF JESUS [Solemnity]  -  1st reading - Deuteronomy 7:6-11;  Psalm - 103:1-4, 6-8, 10; 2nd reading  - 1 John 4:7-16;  Gospel - Matthew 11:25-30.  We find our rest in Jesus [Mt11:29] for He has chosen us in Love [Dt7:7-8]. He never treats us as our sins deserve [Ps103:10] for He is Love [1Jn4:8]  For more see web link 

June 29 - PETER AND PAUL, APOSTLES  [Solemnity]  -  1st reading  Acts 12:1-11; Psalm  34:2-9; 2nd reading  2 Timothy 4:6-8, 17-18;  Gospel  Matthew 16:13-19   These first leaders proclaimed Jesus the Messiah, the son of God [Mt 16: 17] in the face of the threat of death [Acts 12:2-3 & 2Tim 4:17-18], trusting in God’s care [Ps 34:4]   For more see the Saints Calendar
