May 3 - Fifth Sunday of Easter - 1st reading  Acts 9:26-31; Psalm 22:26-28, 30-32; 2nd reading  1 John 3:18-24; Gospel John 15:1-8  If we, as branches, bond tightly to Jesus, the Vine, we can do great things as did Saul [Acts 9:28] for we, the generations still to come [Ps 22:31], live in God [1 Jn 3:24] 

May 10 - Sixth Sunday of Easter - 1st reading  Acts 10:25-26, 34-35, 44-48; Psalm 98:1-4; 2nd reading  1 John 4:7-10; Gospel John 15:9-17  We are to love [1Jn 4:7] as Jesus loves [Jn 15:12], to love all peoples [Acts 10:34-35] that all the earth may know His Salvation [Ps 98:3]

 May 17 - THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD - 1st reading Acts 1:1-11; Psalm  47:2-3, 6-9; 2nd reading    Ephesians 1:17-23 or Ephesians 4:1-13;  Gospel  Mark 16:15-20  Jesus has ascended on high [Eph 4:8] to the Right Hand of the Father [Eph 1:20] as foretold [Ps 47:5] but remains with us through the Spirit [Acts 1:5] as we carry out His commission to proclaim the Good News [Mk 16:16] For more see web link 

May 24 - PENTECOST SUNDAY  [Solemnity]  concludes the Easter season. [Ordinary time resumes tomorrow.] - 1st reading  Acts 2:1-11; Psalm 104:1, 24, 29-31, 34; 2nd reading    1 Corinthians 12:3-7, 12-13 or Galatians 5:16-25;  Gospel  John 20:19-23 or John 15:26-27, 16:12-15  Today we commemorate the Birth of the Church when Jesus sent the Spirit [Acts 2:2-4] as promised [Jn 15:26, Jn 20:22-23] to guide Her [Gal 5:16] and inspire Her [1 Cor 12:3], the Spirit Who gives us life [Ps 104:30]  Note that we also celebrate today as the Patronal Feast of Holy Spirit Church  For more see web link
